Dear Reader,
As an English chap who is advancing in years I must admit that I no longer possess the need, desire or inclination to ‘kick the arse out of life’. All my ‘zoom, zoom, zoom’ seems to of ‘gone, gone, gone’.
But saying that, even though I prefer to gawp at mountains rather than jog over them these days, I still possess something of an adventurous spirit. So to keep me occupied until I feel the wood against my elbows, I’ve decided to start getting bimbling about the planet (well, mainly the UK TBH), documenting my ‘slow travels’ on this very blog (& possibly YouTube if I get my act together).
Although I am no historian by any stretch of the imagination I do have a passing fascination with stuff of a historical nature relating to the very buildings & structures & locations through which I wander, & as you will see (if you care to read on) this is something that I like to share in my articles.
So chums, if this all sounds like your cup of tea, feel free to like & follow. If not feel free to shove off.
